All for only 25 cents

Every Saturday I saw a double-feature, news of the world and a cartoon. $.25! - James J. Morrissey, New York NY

Walt Disney Films

I went there so much as a child. Saw all the Walt Disney films there. Love that theater ... and I always looked forward to their snow cones!.- Mary Kay Reagan Sprinkle, Chatham IL

Saturday Morning Cartoons

Loved this theater....when I think it was like 50 cents, my cousin and I would go on Saturday morning's cartoon shows, take a sack lunch and wait for the afternoon show...just spend the whole day there. And was a favorite date night place - Sherrill Ostermueller Duesterhaus, Lampe MO

First To Last

My cousin and I went there to see A Hard Days Night. At that time you didn't have to leave after each showing. My cousin wouldn't tell me where her parents were so we could be picked up so we were there from first showing till last showing. - Lois Glasgow, Canton MO

Stood In Line

Mom used to take me to see Disney movies and the like. I remember standing in line around the corner of 5th street waiting to get in. I believe that side of the bldg was green and black. - Cindy Huechteman Timme

Watch The Same Movie

I remember going there and if the movie was really one we liked, we could just stay in our seat and watch it the next time it came on. We stayed there to watch the same movie maybe 3 times. It was a beautiful theater. - Ginger Heitman, Quincy IL

A Cherished Place

I am so, SOOOO, happy that Quincy is being revitalized and its history is being cherished and restored. I have a lot of history in Quincy, so this is near and dear to my heart. My mother and father, Bob Keller and Irene Behrens Keller, spent a lot of time in this theater. It is kind of like preserving a church where the whole family was baptized, married, and buried, you just do not tear down sacred places like churches and theaters. -  Marilyn Irene Keller Rittmeyer, Quincy IL
