So many memories. Every Saturday my dad took neighbor kids and me to the Washington for cartoons. Now that I’m old, I totally get why he took us even though money was tight. Parental privacy. But not just cartoons but Buck Rogers and Gene Autry and Hopalong Cassidy And many more. The concession was a paradise of candy we didn’t get at home. Ju-Ju Bees and Sugar Daddy and the plckles. Balcony was great. Boys would spit on girls below to get attention. It was a grand place and loved by many of us. - Shirley B
